Pics On the Promenade - Beauty and the Beast Movie

October 21 - Disney's Beauty and the Beast will be playing at Pics on the Promenade in Lake Mirror Park. This outdoor event is the perfect opportunity to be with your family, friends, and neighbors and see Hollywood’s greatest movies on the big screen again.  Many attendees pack a picnic, but other light food options include the Garden Bistro, located in the Magnolia Building.  Of course, you can’t have a movie without popcorn, so snack vendors will also be available on site. We would also encourage you to grab some takeout from your favorite local downtown restaurants before the film.

Lakeland Pigfest 2011

This year's annual Pigfest in Lakeland was a big success.  This barbeque competition consists of 150 teams from 20 different states.  The weather was fantastic helping revenue reach near record highs.  A portion of the proceeds from barbecue sales benefits local charities, including the sponsor, Junior League of Greater Lakeland.

Pics On the Promenade - White Christmas Movie

Here are some photos from this past Friday's Pics On the Promenade in Lakeland.  Hundreds of locals relaxed outdoors on the shores of Lake Mirror and enjoyed the movie White Christmas.  Since Thanksgiving is around the corner, this audience didn't mind ushering in Christmas a little early.

Publix Supermarkets based in Lakeland, FL continues to grow, create jobs, and gain market share in states in the south.  Publix has operations in 5 states:  Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Alabama.  This commercial below has been popular at Thanksgiving.  How nice it would be if Publix would deliver your Thanksgiving groceries to your door.
